Christiaan Gischler

Lead Energy Specialist – Inter-American Development Bank (IDB)

Gischler has over 20 years of experience in the energy and environmental sector in Latin American and the Caribbean (LAC). He is the focal for clean hydrogen production, heavy industry and geothermal energy development in LAC at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).

He is an advocate for the use of climate funds for the decarbonization of hard to abate sectors. He has designed, structured and mobilized financial programs and initiatives using climate funds, public and private sector funding for over US$ 3.8 billion promoting sustainable energy and decarbonization in the LAC region.
