Ramón Fiestas

Chairman of the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) for Latin America

He is a lawyer with a degree in Business Sciences from ICADE in Madrid, Spain, and holds a master’s degree in Foreign Trade and International Contracts from the Instituto de Empresa, where he has also taught the Energy Law course. He specializes in Public Law and Commercial Law and is an expert in energy policies and regulation.

He has been involved in the energy sector since 1984, starting his career in Europe, where he served as Head of Legal Services for the Hidrocantábrico Group. Ramón has been Chairman of GWEC for Latin America since 2011.
